Whole wheat flour is super healthy, because it contains vitamins, minerals, and natural fibers that have been lost during the refining process of all-purpose flour. Not all recipes work using whole wheat flour, but I use it as much as possible. I usually use ¼ cup whole wheat flour to 2 cups of all-purpose flour (1-¾ cup all-purpose flour, ¼ cup whole wheat flour). Wheat germ is also nutritious and adds a deliciously nutty flavor to cereals, especially granola, some muffins, and yogurt.
