Cracker Barrel Hash Brown Casserole

Ingredients:
  • 26 ounces bag frozen country-style hash browns
  • 2 cups shredded Colby cheese
  • 1/4 cup minced onion
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup beef stock or canned broth
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 dash garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon white pepper

Directions: Preheat oven to 425 F. Combine frozen hash browns, cheese, and onion in a large bowl. Combine milk, beef stock, melted butter, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper in another bowl. Mix until well blended, then pour the mixture over the hash browns and mix well. Pour into greased baking dish, spread in a thin layer, and put in the oven. Bake for 45-60 minutes or until the surface of the hash browns is brown.
Yield: 6 servings
